- Organise transportation
- Identify carriers appropriate to livestock type and quantity and engage them on suitable terms
- Identify work health and safety hazards associated with livestock handling and transport assess risks, and implement, risk controls in line with enterprise polices
- Arrange timing and dates of transportation and delivery with transporter, vendors and agents
- Assess special needs of livestock and prepare facilities to ensure timely pick up
- Undertake animal health and welfare checks on arrival according to enterprise and legislative requirements
- Where required quarantine animals in line with enterprise policies
- Complete records associated with livestock movements
